Project Description
With land yachting canned once again due to lack of wind we were looking for plan B. With the Hauraki Gulf looking like a mirror whale watching and fishing was an easy choice.A quick trip to the marina and the boats were deployed.
Wasn’t long before we found the whales and they put on quite a show breaching several times close to the boats.
For those keen on fishing they a sure sign that the snapper weren’t far away. And sure enough before too long –
Watching the other put boat fish after fish in the bin while we watched was a bit disheartening – time to up the ante. Relocating a few km made all the difference and before too long a steady stream of good snapper to fill the bin.
